Books and Things…

Has anyone heard of this book? Or read it?

Well if not it is wonderful! I loved every page.

I felt so connected to Sarah Prine and the story that unfolded revealing her life, trials, and joys while growing up in the Arizona Territories. The author tells the story through pieces of her own family memoirs, of her Great Grandmother, so its more of a historical fiction (which are my favorite).

Well as in all books, I felt inspired in some way as I come to that final page…
What struck me about this story was the power of our legacies. The power each of our own stories hold… I think of my life and the things that I have experienced, the moments that have made me into who I am today.
Do you think it is important to share your stories?
I completely do.

Not so that it can be made into a book…but so my future family can read of my experiences. I wish that one of my grandmothers kept a journal, or my great grandmother that came from Poland when she was 16 years old…arriving in Eilis Island…all alone…I wish I knew what she felt.

So I have vowed to write in my journal more…

(which I should do anyways because it is adorable, and probably one of my favorite gifts, but I still am horrible at it)

This way I can share my life, and the little things that make me who I am. So that I can leave behind my story… then some day my children or grandchildren can read about me…ha ha, that is if they even want to..
because sometimes a simple story can mean so much.

So in honor of a diary/journal, here are some fantastic ones to tell your own story :)

1. Vintage book journal
2. All about me book
3. Three French Notebooks
4. Mightier than the sword journal
