Despite your record breaking heat waves and spontaneous tropical rain bursts, you’ve still captured my heart…
Our friends got married in Chicago, so we left our little guy with my mom and headed out east for a fabulous wedding and mini weekend vacation. WHAT a wonderful city…seriously! The architecture is unreal, the food to die for and the whole atmosphere just perfect.
We stayed at the sofitel hotel right down town. I LOVED that hotel. The staff was almost too perfect and our bed…well words wont even begin to describe it’s heavenly softness.
We tried good ole chicago style deep dish pizza at pizanos and it was the best pizza we have ever eaten.
Then we took in the city the best way…by foot
and by train
Austin did the videography for the wedding so I wasn’t able to use the camera for any of the actual wedding, but it was stunning!! Here is a little teaser of the wedding Austin put together before he does their final video. The bride and groom are just the cutest people in the world, it was so much fun!

We did the architectural tour by boat, it was perfect. I love to learn while floating
Ate at 3rd coast cafe, chatted with an old local who used to do be the camera man for Dan Rather. AND he had a leica camera…ummmm drool!
We had dessert on the 96th floor of the Hancock building. BREATHTAKING!!
and finally hung out at millenium park. With the bean and outdoor concert hall, where we got caught in the rain listening to some music
that is our quick and fun trip…chicago I will be back for you some day!
