TELL: DIY STITCHED ENVELOPES

When I got my sewing machine, the very first thing I sewed was paper ha ha!  Ever since then I have been a fan.  These stitched envelopes are so simple and sooooo dang cute!  I had fun messing around with different stitching patterns, but ended up liking this one best.  I also never realized how easy it is to make an envelope.  I am going to be making personal cards more often!

Supplies:

Sewing Machine
Card stock paper
Thread
print and cut out template, trace onto paper
 cut out envelope
place the template on top of the cut out so you know where to fold
 take out template
 glue sides and then sew!
Tips:
–  The card size to make that fits into the envelope template is 3 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches
-You can sew other envelopes you have lying around BUT they will make the area where the card goes smaller, so you will have to cut down your card.
– I sewed the whole envelope in one long stitch.  When going around sharp corners, I had the needle stay in the stitch and then rotated the card.
Have fun!!
