GARLAND CAKE TOPPER

I always love making garlands!  They can be so simple but make all the difference in party decor.  So making a tiny garland into a cake topper only seemed necessary.  This DIY is simple and can give any cake a fun facelift.  They can be made to match any sort of party or color scheme.

Supplies:
Wood Skewers
-Colored Paper
Acrylic Paint
Hot Glue Gun
Small Circle Hole Punch

Cut out colored circles and sew them together.

Tape off and paint the skewers.  I wanted the colors to match the paper circles :)

Glue onto the skewer.  There are a couple different ways to do this.  You can either glue the actual paper circle to the wood stick OR you can glue on the thread in between each circle and then cut off extra garland.

This is so adorable! I will need to start adding this to all of my cakes (not just for birthday).

ha ha for sure! No cake should be naked ;)

I saw this post of yours some time ago and was just waiting for an occasion to make one myself. Although mine wasn’t as colorful I did make a garland for my husband’s birthday cake this weekend. He thought it was different and loved it! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Oh that is awesome!!! I LOVE hearing people try my DIY’s! I bet it looked amazing!! xoxo
