Beads are not just for jewelry, guys … use them to wrap gifts!  No really!  I saw these beads at the craft store and fell in love with the colors.  And if you have seen this post or this one, you know how much I love to figure out new and different way to wrap gifts … because gift wrap is my FAVORITE!  So spice up your gifts with some beaded gift wrap!

SUPPLIES
-Plain wrapping paper or tissue paper
(this pack from target is my very favorite, its thick and great to use as wrapping paper)
-Colorful Beads and Pony Beads ( I got mine at Hobby Lobby)
Jewelry Wire

Measure wire around gift.  Start to string beads.gift-wrap-diy

You can just string the beads and tie onto package.

OR if you want this fun zig zag look just bend the wire with each bead. Alternating up and down to make a zig zag.  The side beads, going around the edge of the package, need to be straight.  Then you can zig zag on the back or keep the bead straight as well.  But measure the wire bigger if you are doing the zig zag pattern because it uses more wire.IMG_6149---

Then tie the beads together on the back.  You are going to want to make sure you tie off the strand BEFORE you tie them together so that when someone unwraps the gift beads don’t go flying ha ha.

And your done!!IMG_6150--2Make-your-gifts-unique-and-fun-with-these-DIY-beaded-wrap-ideas

I love, love, love, this! Brings me back to childhood; my dad is a master gift wrapper and he used to use our leftover Gasparilla beads (Tampa’s version of Mardi Gras) to dress up our Christmas gifts. So fabulous!
