TELL: SPRING FLOWER POT CUPCAKES

I can’t begin to tell you how much I LOVE these little flower pot cupcakes!  They are so bright and springy, I want to throw some sort of spring themed party right now.
The best part is that they are EASY!
and lets not forget the edible centers of the flowers…
Here are the supplies you need:
tiny terracotta flower pots (I got mine at Michaels they are 2.5 inches tall)
regular sized CHOCOLATE cupcakes
Buttercream frosting (recipe below)
Wilton frosting tip #233 (this give the frosting that “grass” look)
Tissue Paper
THIN wire ( I got mine at Michael’s in the jewelry department, just make sure its thin enough to cut with regular scissors)
Lollipops (mine are called “organic pops” from trader joe’s)
place the cupcake in the pot leaving a little sticking out, this is so it looks like dirt
Now onto the grass making.  You may need to play with this tip to get the right look.  But try to be gentle and never really press hard, it makes the grass more stringy
The actual flower idea I got from the Oh Happy Day blog.  They made these ADORABLE flower party hats and I thought the whole flower idea would look super cute wrapped around a lollipop, making it semi edible.
Wrap each cut out petal around the lollipop till you get the look you want then secure it with a thin piece of wire. Stick it in the cupcake and you are done!
Lastly here is my
Vanilla Buttercream frosting recipe:
1 Cup Butter softened
3 1/2 cups confectionary sugar
2 Tablespoons whipping cream (un whipped)
2 Teaspoons Vanilla extract
1/8 Teaspoon Salt (its good to let it dissolve in the whipping cream first so its not so gritty)
mmmmmmm its super yummy!
