If you know me you KNOW I am in love with crafts that involve tissue paper. I like to wrap with it, craft with it, decorate with it and now I am covering a pot with it. This DIY tissue paper covered pots are so fun and are my most favorite color combination. I think it screams happy, and with some cute cacti in each pot it’s just perfection. And the best part? It’s completely water proof. So if you want to have them inside OR outside on a cute patio, you can.
SUPPLIES
–Tissue Paper
(ok no joke this is the BEST tissue paper ever. Go buy some now! It’s thick enough and the colors are perfect. Seriously guys…stock up!)
–Dishwasher Safe Mod Podge
–Scissors
–Paint Brush
-IKEA Mandel plant pots
-Cut out strips of tissue paper.
-Paint on some dishwasher safe mod podge
-Lay a strip of tissue paper over the mod podge. Smooth out with your finger so there are no bubbles.
-Paint a layer of mod podge over the top of each strip.
-Finally paint on another coat of mod podge over the whole pot after everything dries. This helps make it extra water proof.
-Then plant some cute cacti and your done!
These are so cute!! I love all the colours together. I’ve never seen tissue paper in such vibrant hues. I must go buy some on my next trip to Target!
Goodness. These are so good!
Aww so cute!!
