I love the 4th of July. Around here it’s an all out party which makes me love it more. Our day is filled with parades, bike rides, beach, BBQ and at night the fireworks. Watching the fireworks is one of my very favorite parts. We always ride our bikes down to the beach, make pillows out of the sand and snuggle up and watch the show light up off the pier. Last year I started a little tradition of creating firework goodie bags. The idea is to give the kids the goodie bags while we wait for the fireworks. Its filled with sparklers, candy, glow sticks and anything else fun. This year I am stepping it up with these adorable DIY 4th of July goodie bags. They only take about 5 min to make and are so perfect. Get the free printable iron on’s after the jump.
SUPPLIES
–Cotton Muslin Bags
–Iron on Sheets
–Scissors
–FREE 4TH OF JULY PRINTABLE
-I like to iron the bags first to get out any wrinkles.
-Next cut out your shape from the free 4th of July Printable. The iron on sheets I used are for dark clothes so whatever you cut out WILL show up so cut as close to the actual design as you can.
-Figure out placement. Then peal off the backing and lay down.
-Take your iron on sheet (that comes in the package) place over the top and iron for 30-40 seconds.
-Your done! Stuff your baggie with all kinds of goodies.
Here are some ideas for fun things to fill your baggies with:
-Red, blue and white candy. I got all mine from Party City. They have such a great selection of candy that is all sorted into colors.
–Party poppers
–Glow Sticks
-Sparklers
