Apple cider and donuts, hay bails, farms, pumpkins, and friends. THIS is how we spent our Saturday.
We met up with our friends at Oak Glen, it is a magical place (at least for me when it comes to my obsession with the holidays) with a bunch of “U pick” farms… from apples and berries to pumpkins and flowers. We stopped first to sample some, most delicious, (free) apple cider, and then Hudd (picture below) bought a bag of the world famous apple donuts. Now on a side note…I hate donuts…yes its very weird and I have received much ridicule for this. BUT these were YUMMY! Maybe because they were crunchy, fresh, warm and tasted like apples? Who knows, but I liked them.
Then off we went to Riley’s farm to pick our pumpkin. Their pumpkin patches were wonderful! We have decided this is our new pumpkin picking tradition.
