TELL: Thankful Tree

November 7, 2011
I am thankful for SO many things!  And since this is the month of Thanksgiving I wanted to do something in our house that really made us reflect on giving thanks.  I saw this on pinterest and knew I had to make it…
The Thankful Tree
This costs next to nothing.
Here is a list of the supplies:
– different colored paper (thick/ card stock)
-Martha Stewart paper punch (from Michaels..with the 40% coupon it was only $5)
-Branches (I got these from a park by my house)
-Large Mason Jar
-Twine
-hole punch (so your circles can slide onto each branch)

I put a bunch of the circles on the tree for the picture, but the idea is to write something you are thankful for and THEN put it on the tree.  The rules are you MUST put at least one on a day…but there is no limit to how many you can do.  I just keep all of the cut out circles in a little jar next to the tree.  Then throughout the month watch your tree fill up!
Then at the end of the month you can sit down as a family and read what they all say.
