A new art print needs a fun new frame! How perfectly adorable is this Valentine’s art print from Minted?? The cutest way to remind those I love how much they mean to me.
Ok now lets talk frames…First offI LOVE buying plain white frames from IKEA because they are so cheap but I hate that nothing fits inside them (strange European sizing??) Anywho so I figured my new print needed a new matting AND a little frame facelift. This DIY is so easy and takes no time at all. Now, not only are you giving an amazing piece of art but a personalized frame to go with

SUPPLIES
-Picture fram (IKEA Ribba frames work great because the width of the frame is perfect)
-Black Poster Board
-x-acto knife
Cut around the matting to get the right size
Then Lay out your print to see how big you want your new matting to be. I figured that 1 1/2 inches was perfect for the print I had.
Now for the fun EASY part! Get out your washi tape and start taping! This part seriously takes 2 min
Since the corners of the frame end in a diagonal cut ,I wanted my washi tape to be that way too. So I cut each piece in a diagonal
Put in your new matting and your done!
